Street Scenes
A street scene is an expanded elevational drawing, that includes features not usually shown on a typical building elevation. These include features often outside of a site and located in the adjacent footpaths or road. Due to the time-consuming nature of capturing a full street scene, the latest laser scanning techniques are used, resulting in a highly accurate level of detail (with a reduced site time). Point cloud data can be revisited time and time again should additional features need adding to the drawings.
Common features shown on a street scene include:
– Building elevations
– Trees, shrubs and other large vegetation
– Post boxes
– Lamp posts, bollards, sign post, etc
– Telephone boxes
– Walls and fences
