Time was of the essence for this 3D scanning project, given that we were working on an active railway with limited access windows. To meet these tight deadlines, we deployed two Leica P20 scanners, allowing us to efficiently scan the entire area within the restricted timeframe. Accurate location data for each train track was crucial for the client, making 3D scanning the best method to capture these precise details. We implemented a system of controlled traverses to establish dependable reference points and minimize any potential errors, enhancing the accuracy of our measurements. This setup allowed us to deliver a comprehensive, high-precision 3D model that met all clients requirements and will serve as a valuable resource for their ongoing planning and operations.
