Survey Hub was appointed by a major NHS trust to deliver a range of multi-discipline surveying services in support of a huge investment project at one of the Trust’s busy healthcare facilities.

Working within a live hospital environment required careful planning, effective communication, and a commitment to minimising disruption while delivering accurate, reliable survey data for the client. Healthcare facilities such as this operate around the clock, making surveying work particularly challenging. With patients, staff, emergency vehicles and visitors constantly moving throughout the site, it was essential that all survey activities were completed safely and efficiently without impacting the day-to-day operation of the hospital. Our team worked closely with the client to plan survey activities around the operational requirements of the site, ensuring the project remained on schedule while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.

To provide the information required for the project, Survey Hub delivered a combination of services, which included:

• Topographical Survey – Capturing accurate site features, levels and existing infrastructure.
• Underground Utility Survey – Locating and mapping underground services to reduce risk during future works.
• CCTV Drainage Survey – Inspecting the condition and layout of the drainage network to provide valuable asset information.
• Ground Investigation Survey – Checks the soil, rock, groundwater and overall ground conditions of a site to determine whether it is suitable and safe for construction.

By combining multiple surveying disciplines, we were able to provide the client with a comprehensive understanding of the site’s existing conditions, helping to support informed decision-making throughout the project.
