Survey Hub was appointed to deliver a comprehensive land and building surveying solution at Beckingham Primary School, providing the client with a clear, accurate understanding of both above-ground and below-ground site conditions.

Operating UK-wide from our Nottingham base, our team combined multiple surveying disciplines to create a single, reliable digital model of the school grounds – supporting future planning, maintenance, and construction works. The project began with detailed utility and drainage mapping, identifying all key underground services across the site. Using a combination of:

• CCTV pushrod camera systems
• Cable Avoidance Tool (CAT) and (Genny) Signal Generator
• Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR)

Survey Hub accurately traced buried utilities and drainage infrastructure, reducing risk and uncertainty for any future development. To assess the condition of the drainage network, we carried out a CCTV Drainage Survey and produced a full WRC-compliant drainage condition report, giving the school clear visibility of defects, connectivity, and overall system performance – ensuring informed decision-making and proactive maintenance. All captured data was tied into existing control points established by our topographical surveying team using a total station, ensuring complete alignment and spatial accuracy across every dataset.

To enhance the survey deliverables, we also deployed Reality Capture technology to capture a high-resolution, fully measurable model of the site. This produced a highly detailed 3D representation of: Buildings and structures, Ground surfaces and levels and Slopes and site features. By layering the laser scan data with our utility, drainage, and topographical surveys, we created a unified digital site model. This provides Beckingham Primary School with a long-term, reliable reference that can be used for future design, planning applications, asset management, and construction projects.

The client received a complete, coordinated survey package offering both immediate insight and lasting value:
